| Carrying forward a glorious tradition, Realty Plus, India’s leading real estate magazine, is on the threshold of unveiling the fourth edition of Realty Plus Excellence Awards (RPEA) 2012 — to be held across Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi, respectively. The Awards will see a galaxy of policy-makers, industry officials, luminaries and stalwarts from corporate, political, financial, and retail sectors, converge under a prestigious banner to celebrate and applaud the deserving winners of RPEA 2012.
Says Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media group, “The Realty Plus Excellence Awards celebrate the successes of the real estate players who have conceptualised and executed people friendly landmark projects. Through this endeavour, we recognise and reward the best practices in the realty sector every year. ”
The RPEA 2012 awards will commence in Bengaluru on March 2, 2012, and would see the unveiling of the maiden conclave and awards for the southern region. While the conclave and awards night for west zone will take place in Mumbai on March 9, 2012, the event for the northern region will take place in New Delhi on March 16, 2012. The forthcoming event has evoked a huge response with an increasing number of people logging on to the link www.realtyplusawards.com to file in their nominations.
As Kapil Mohan Dhingra, Founder-Director, Realty Plus, puts it, “ The Realty Plus Real Estate Excellence Awards are meant to provide a prestigious industry platform to recognise the contributions made by individuals, developers, property advisors and other industry stakeholders towards the stupendous growth of the Indian real estate sector.“
The Awards will bestow due recognition on outstanding real estate projects and performers. Says Vinod Behl, Editor, Realty Plus, “The Awards will acknowledge the efforts of the go-getter real estate players in creating lanmark projects, developing infrastructure facilities and promoting state of the art designs and architecture. The much-sought-after event will establish the winners as epitome of excellence for their hard work and dedication to the profession.”
The last edition of the Realty Plus Excellence Awards 2011 was marked by participation of top developers, real estate professionals, financial experts and policy-makers, amongst others. The Realty Plus Excellence Awards 2012 emerge in a new avatar with newer, wide-ranging categories to identify and felicitate the worthy real estate players. Ultimately, they all symbolise the true celebration of excellence.
The different categories under which the awards will be given included Developer of the Year (Residential, Commercial and Retail), Regional Developer of the Year (North, East, West and South), Lifetime Achievers for Outstanding Contribution, Emerging Developer of the Year, Environment Friendly Project of the Year and Pathfinders Award for the Most Enterprising CXO. (For a complete list of the categories, please see Box)
High standards have been maintained in selecting the awardees from among the nominees. The jury has Anuj Puri, Chairman & Country Head, JLL India. Other jury members include Sachin Sandhir, MD & Country Head, RICS; Prof PSN Rao, Head, Department of Housing, SPA & Chairman, NAR-India; Ritesh Vohra, Partner, Real Estate Investments, IDFC; Sanjeev Das Gupta, President, ICICI Venture, Dr PS Rana, Former Chairman and MD, HUDCO; Subhash Lakhotia, noted tax consultant and Vinod Behl, Editor, Realty Plus.

| The awardees will be chosen through a rigorous selection process. Realty Plus has researched and identified about 300 nominees for various awards. Based on several key parameters and their respective weightage, the jury will identify five to eight nominees for each category and prepare fact sheets on all of them. Then each nominee will be asked to add to, and validate, the fact sheet. Following this, info packs will be readied, including short write-ups, fact sheets with photographs, news articles and press releases. Finally, the jury will meet to review the matter and use their individual as well as collective knowledge and judgement to finalise the winners. Meanwhile, the industry is waiting with bated breath to see the crowning glory at RPEA 2012 !
