Real estate as a whole went through a major turmoil in 2007 with prices stabilising or even going down in several parts of the country. How is the scenario going to be in 2008? |
| The market is at a very crucial juncture currently. In some of the pockets, there are instances of over-supply. But this is temporary. The kind of market we will see in the coming year is to be very different. The demand still persists but people have become over-cautious. The residential market as such is sentiment- driven and offers opportunities. With the stock market being down these days, there is little scope for investments. So the advantage will always go to the real estate market.
