More than 65 completed projects, adding up to over four million square feet in industrial, commercial and residential space, have given Skyline Constructions the right credential as one of the most trusted builders in Karnataka. Avinash Prabhu, Managing Director of Skyline Constructions, talks to Priyanka Kapoor on the various facets of the realty sector, its problems and prospects, and future plans of his firm.
What’s your perception of the real estate scenario in the country and particularly in Bangalore which has been witnessin hectic activity?

That there has been a lot of growth in the realty market in the past few years is a clear fact. The run-year growth has more than doubled every year in terms of the total volume of real estate activity. This is primarily because of two reasons. One is of course the growth in all types of activity like IT which are expanding their businesses, creating a lot of demand for office space. Secondly, the overall economic growth is fuelling the urge for residential and retail space as well as other forms of real estate. At this moment, completely new real estate developments, not seen earlier, are taking place.
