DLF Commercial Complexes (DCCL), part of real estate major DLF Group, will invest over Rs 4,000 crores-Rs. 5,000 crores in commercial projects across the country in the current year. As part of this plan, the company has announced the launch of an office-space-cum-retail venture in Ludhiana. A similar project would be launched in Amritsar in the later part of the year.
Managing Director Ajay Khanna has said that “the company plans to launch six-seven such commercial projects in the country at different locations in 2009. It has already acquired land for the projects and a similar venture would be launched in Amritsar in six months.”
The projects in Punjab would be completed in two-and-a-half years and around Rs 1,500 crores would be invested in different projects. Commercial projects will be located where their viability had been established earlier, Khanna stated. They would not be affected by the slowdown.
DLF’s concept of offering retail and office complexes under one roof has received a tremendous response nationally. In the MD’s opinion, The Galleria, DLF Ludhiana, would bring the same concept for the people of Ludhiana.
