Developing With Distinction

DLF is setting new milestones in real estate development with its newly launched projects - Maiden Heights in Bengaluru and Hyde Park Estate in Chandigarh. By Vishal Duggal

DLF, one of the major real estate companies in the country, continues to rock the realty world with remarkable headway in the development work at its different projects as well as its foray into affordable housing segment.

After launching a number of luxury and super luxury projects, the company has made its foray into the value home segment with the launch of Iris Greens at Maiden Heights, in Bengaluru. The project spread over a total area of 8.9 acres, is located strategically in the midst of Jigani-Bommasandra Industrial Area which has an excellent connectivity with the city via Bannerghatta Road and Hosur Road. It is a 15 minutes drive, to the electronic city and close to multinational corporations like Biocon, Cipla, APC, HCL, Helix Biotech etc.

As Mohit Gujral, vice chairman and managing director, DLF India Ltd, describes it, "There is a huge demand in the value home segment. As a responsible real estate developer, this is our humble effort to bridge the demand-supply mismatch. This is our first project in this segment, in Bengaluru. We are committed to offer a quality product that we hope would be a trendsetter."

Maiden Heights, designed by the renowned Arcop Associates, provides modern amenities like a clubhouse spread over 20, 000 sq ft, with swimming pool, cards room, chess room, table tennis, banquet hall and a toddler's pool for the little residents. Landscaped gardens, 24 Hours Power backup and water supply, Convenience Shopping for daily needs, etc are some of the other features of the project.

The Project, located near Hennagara Lake, offers 12 elegantly designed towers of 2 & 3 Bedroom apartments in 3 clusters named Iris Greens, Lotus Greens & Lily Greens.

The company has also started on-site development work at its integrated luxury township project, "Hyde Park Estate" near Chandigarh, reinforcing its commitment to the region.

As a fitting acknowledgment of its foray into the Chandigarh-Tricity region, DLF won the award as the "Developer of the Year- North 2011" at the recent award ceremony organised by a real estate magazine. It also won the award for "Marketer of the Year" for its innovative marketing initiatives and ad campaign for Hyde Park Estate, which redefines luxury living.

According to Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi, director, DLF India Ltd, "Hyde Park Estate is fast emerging as the next big destination, near Chandigarh and the award is just a reflection of the emerging reality. "She further added, "It feels great that our commitment to offer a quality niche product, like the Hyde Park Estate has not only come true, but has also been recognised by the market and the jury of this award."

Besides the above-mentioned achievements, DLF will soon start to hand over the possessions in south India with its Chennai based development called Gardencity, OMR. Tower 37 at Gardencity has received the completion certificate and by the end of 2011, people can start moving into their new home. Significant progress has also taken place at Tower 38-42 which will be getting ready for possession soon.
